The 2025 National High School Basketball Coaches Association (NHSBCA) Summer Congress took place July 8th–10th in Savannah, Georgia, and marked a historic milestone with 28 states Basketball Coaches Associations represented and a record-setting 70 total attendees.

The Congress covered a wide range of important topics impacting high school basketball on and off the court, including:

    • The NHSBCA-sponsored June Scholastic Events
    • Building Healthy Relationships with State Governing Associations
    • Shot Clock Implementation
    • State Basketball Coaches Association Clinics
    • Building Membership
    • The Educate to Navigate Initiative
  • The 28.5 Women’s Basketball Initiative

We were proud to host several presentations from our valued sponsors, including Coaches vs. Cancer, AI, Spalding, Point Guard College, Grip Spritz, LUCEO, and others whose continued support helps fuel our shared mission.

Most importantly, we continued to do what we came to do: "Grow the Game."
A thank you goes out to Allen Whitehart and the Georgia Basketball Coaches Association for their hospitality and leadership throughout the event.

Looking ahead, planning is already underway for our 2026 Summer Congress, set for July in Denver, Colorado.

The 2024 National High School Basketball Coaches Association Summer Congress met in Nashville, Tennessee July 9th- 11th. 30 State Basketball Coaches Associations were represented with 65 total attendees (both attendance records). Many things were discussed, including the state-run June Scholastic Events sponsored by the NHSBCA, Educate to Navigate Initiative, 28.5 Women’s Basketball Initiative, We’ve Got Next Coaches Mentoring Initiative, and numerous other topics that impact high school basketball on and off the court. We took a field trip to the Country Music Hall of Fame and enjoyed the sights and sounds of the country music scene of Nashville. We had numerous presentations from our sponsors (Coaches vs Cancer, Ballogy, LUCEO, and many others).

Overall, we accomplished what we set out to do… continue to “Grow the Game”. A special thanks goes out to Bruce Slatten and the BCAT for their hospitality and leadership. Currently we are in the planning stages for next year's Conference in July in Savannah, Georgia. We look forward to showing everyone some southern hospitality and culture.
