The NHBCO has had an interesting year. After returning from the Raleigh, NC NHSBCA Convention, we got to work to putting together the largest coach’s clinic in the history of New Hampshire. We had coaches from all over New England attend the clinic and everyone got to see some great speakers headlined by Kurt Miller the Head Coach of the WNBA Connecticut Suns. Joining Coach Miller this year was Maureen Magarity from UNH, Paul Culpo from Castleton University, Charlie Mason from New England College, and Pat Quinn from NX Generation Athletics. The coaches in attendance really felt like this was an outstanding day of networking and gathering new ideas. One of the biggest reasons for improved attendance was the decision to move the clinic to the state capital Concord, NH. The central location was a hit.

Continuing with success, our Senior East-West games took on a new life of its own. Attendance was at an all-time high with all four senior games being barn burners. We added a half time 3- point competition to each game, allowing all 96 players compete in the contest. Our goal for the year was to spice up the senior games, and with the addition of the 3-point contest we partnered with BSN Sports to sponsor the games. Through their generous donations of uniforms, all players were excited to represent their schools and divisions. We also continued the tradition of presenting awards to coaches and players for outstanding seasons and careers.

In closing, New Hampshire is very excited to continue to be a member of the NHSBCA, and we are looking forward to the annual meeting in Seattle, WA this summer in July.
